COACHES & MANAGERS

One of the essential functions of coaches and team managers is to manage team communications with players and their families.

Coaches and team managers play a vital role in the success of every season. They are instrumental in managing team communications with players and their families.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR COACHES 

If you are selected as a coach at Sudburnia Soccer Club, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Police Check Requirement – All coaches must obtain a police check before the season begins. We will reimburse you for this expense.
  • Coaches Meeting – Before the season starts, we host a mandatory coaches meeting with our head coach and technical director Brian Ashton. This session provides an overview of the season, outlines your responsibilities, and allows you to ask any questions. At this meeting, you will:
  • Complete a coaches package.
  • Receive your team list and season schedule.
  • Pick up your equipment and team jerseys.
  • Uniform Distribution – At the first session, you are responsible for distributing uniforms to your players.
  • Communication with Parents – You will receive a team list with contact details for each child's parents/guardians. We encourage you to engage with them, and many coaches set up group chats for easy communication throughout the season.
  • Attendance & Backup Plan – Coaches are expected to attend each session. If you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you reach out to the parents/guardians on your team to arrange a fill-in for your absence.
